What Is a Vehicle Smart Card?
In Punjab, the old paper registration book has been replaced by a Smart Card. It is a small, ATM-sized plastic card with a built-in microchip that stores your vehicle details securely.
It stores:
- Registration number

There is also a QR code on the card that Excise or police staff can scan instantly for verification.

Where to Find Your Tracking ID
When you submit your Smart Card application at the Excise office, you get a receipt. Your tracking ID is printed on that receipt.
Lost the receipt? You can also use your vehicle registration number or your chassis number instead.
If nothing shows up after entering these, wait 2 to 3 working days. The card may still be in production and not yet added to the tracking system.
